Cash contribution wedding gift lists
At The Bottom Drawer we have separated the operation of your gift list from the company that you buy your gifts from. This enables you to have ANYTHING on your gift list from ANYWHERE! You are no longer limited to the major department stores that tend to be the only stores that provide a gift list service.
In effect this becomes a nicer way of asking for cash from your guests! As you are able to create gift list items and descriptions that suit your own needs (eg honeymoon items like cocktails on arrival, meals in resort or home improvement items like painting the living room, knocking down the dividing wall etc!) it gives your guests some choice in deciding which item they would like to contribute towards. The reality is that all their contributions get collected into one pot of funds for you to spend as you wish after your list closes. But from your guests point of view it is much nicer than simply being asked to give cash into your bank account!
Once your gift list at The Bottom Drawer closes, if you are able to spend the funds collected on items we supply you with direct (marked on our Gifts pages as BD Direct) or you buy from our affiliated or partner stores (following the links on our site to their online stores which are unique to us) then the use of our gift list service is free!
If you simply wish to collect the contributions from your guests and withdraw the funds to your own account then our standard admin charge applies. We operate a flat fee service rather than a percentage of the funds raised on your list. We think this is fairer.
