Charitable contributions

Why not use some (or even all) of your gift list to make a contribution to help others. We work with the following charities (all affiliated suppliers) to encourage you to give a little back! So as well as having some beautiful gifts for yourself on your list you can also include some life changing gifts for others.

When your gift list closes just follow these links to either buy charitable gifts or sign up to a direct debit at Great Ormond Street Hospital and your contributions (see further comments against each entry below) will count towards the free use of our gift list service! And remember, with The Bottom Drawer you can break down a high value gift into several smaller parts to make it easy for several guests to contribute to the same item. So you could use your gift list and your guests contributions to help buy a small scale hydro-electric power station in the Peruvian Andes with Practical presents or a complete classroom for a village with Save The Children - now that's impressive!

  • Great Ormond Street Hospital

Great Ormond Street Hospital opened its doors on 14th February 1852, with just 10 beds, 2 wards & 20 staff. Today, they have 353 beds, 38 wards & 2,700 staff, treating children from throughout the UK and world for a wide range of conditions. Although the running costs of the hospital are met by the NHS, the charity needs to raise over £50 million each year to fund, the latest specialist equipment, medical research, redevelopment and family accommodation. They want to ensure the hospital remains a world class specialist paediatric hospital, giving new hope to children suffering from complex and life-threatening conditions. In order to count towards the free use of our gift list service, if you sign up to give to Great Ormond Street by Direct Debit then this is worth the equivalent of spending £100 of your gift list funds at another store, no matter what the value of the direct debit to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
