Charges for using The Bottom Drawer

We have split our charges into four main types to make it easy and fair for all couples and their guests using our service.

1) Administration fee

If the majority* of the funds you collect on your gift list are used to buy goods from The Bottom Drawer direct or from our affiliated or partner stores (see "how we work"), then we do not charge you any admin fee for using our gift list services. If this isn't the case (eg you want to collect contributions towards a honeymoon you have already booked but not by following the links on our gift pages, or you wish to buy something from a little boutique shop just down the road from you that we don't have any relationship with!) then our standard administration fee is applied. For new registrations this is £69 inc VAT and is deducted from your list when the funds are transferred to you.

* min £500 of your gift list used on items bought direct from The Bottom Drawer or min 90% of your gift list funds used at affiliated or partner companies. Gift voucher purchases do not count towards this free use at affiliated stores.

2) Credit Card Transaction Charge

For credit card transactions by your guests a small fee of 2.75% will be added to their contribution to cover the charges levied by the banks for accepting credit card payments. Your guests will be informed of this before completing their order and offered the options of paying by cheque or debit card which do not incur this charge. You will also have the option to choose to pay these credit card charges yourself if you would prefer that your guests can pay by credit card without surcharge. The appropriate fee will then be deducted from your gift list funds after your list closes. If you buy gifts direct from The Bottom Drawer after your list closes then no credit card charges will be applied.

3) Transfer fee

If you wish for any funds collected on your gift list to be transferred out to your own bank account in advance of the final closing transfer (which is included in our standard admin fees) we can do so for a small fee of £10 inc VAT for each additional transfer.

4) Additional Gift List Notification Cards

Up to 150 cards are included in our standard service. However, if you require additional cards these can be ordered from us at a small fee of £10 per 50 cards in batches of 50. Please contact us if you require extra cards.
